Xiao Xue (Cassandra) Wang
was born in China. She began her piano lessons at age 7. Two years after her piano study, she won 2nd prize in the Shen Yang City-Wide Piano Competition. One year later, she won the Liao Ning State-Wide Piano Competition. She was an honor student at The Shen Yang Conservatory of Music Pre-College Division where she performed many outstanding student concerts. Later, she studied at The Shanghai Conservatory of Music in Shanghai, China and The Tchaikovsky Conservatory of Music in Moscow, Russia.
After her return to China, she was appointed by the president of Shenyang Conservatory of Music as a music director and an accompanist for violin and viola graduate students. Her duties included: directing, coaching and accompanying graduate student concerts; rehearsing and accompanying visiting soloist performers (both domestic and international).
During this time, she won 'The Best Accompanist' at the First Voila National Competition in China and she won the 'Gold Cup (1st Prize)' at the International Folk Music Invitational competition in Hong Kong.
Since Ms. Wang arrived in the US, she has performed at Princeton Richardson Auditorium, Westminster Choir College, St. Patrick's Cathedral, ABC's "Good Morning America", Yankee Stadium for Pope Benedict XVI and many other venues.
Ms. Wang received a Master of Music in Piano Performance from Westminster Choir College. In the year 2010, she performed the Rachmaninoff Piano Concerto No.2 Op.18 as a soloist with the Princeton Sinfonia Orchestra. In the year 2011, she received an invitation from the World Piano Conference to perform a recital in the year 2012.
